Italian American Club presents PizziCali, Southern Italian Folk Musicians

The Italian American Club will present a musical performance by PizziCali on Friday, April 13, at 7 p.m. in the Fireside Room at Gateway.

A beautiful marriage of friendship and musicianship, PizziCali is a band committed to sharing their deep love for old rhythms and traditions from different Southern regions of Italy. Band members are: Mario Di Dio – guitar and voice, Viola Pellegrini – violin, Alessandra Chimienti – tambourine and percussions, Donna Viscuso – flute, Jaqueline Rago – percussions and Angelo Marletta – bass. Based in the Bay Area, its three founding members perform and teach Italian performing arts folk culture locally and nationally. Pizzicali is the feeling that we all belong to Il Sud (the South) regardless of our roots. Be prepared to dance!

This event is open to all Rossmoor residents and their guests. Seating will be auditorium style. Refreshments of wine, non-alcoholic beverages and finger food will be served at intermission.

Tickets are $15 and will be sold at the Event Center from Friday, April 6 to Thursday, April 12 (except Sunday, April 8) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If tickets are still available on the day of the performance, they will be sold from 5-7 p.m. and will cost $20.

Tickets may be ordered in advance until April 9. Send a stamped self-addressed envelope and a check payable to the Italian American Club to Joe Casalaina, 2650 Saklan Indian Drive, Apt 4, Entry 12 Walnut Creek, CA 94595
