Annual Film Festival – Kaos – Taviani Brothers – 1984

The Italian American Club will present its third annual Film Festival on Friday, September 8 at the Event Center at 4 PM.

This free event is open to all Rossmoor residents and their guests. Reservations are not required, but those who wish to be seated at a table should plan to arrive early.  The room will be set up with 14 tables for up to 10 guests.  In addition, several rows of chairs will be set up auditorium style.  Attendees may bring food and beverage for themselves or to share with friends. The Club will have some paper goods on hand, but attendees are encouraged to bring non-disposable glasses and utensils for their own use.

The featured film is Kaos, (1984), directed by the Taviani brothers. The film depicts four short stories written by Luigi Pirandello, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1934.  Each story is approximately 40 minutes long.  There will be a brief intermission between the stories.

Kaos is the original Greek name of the village in Sicily where Pirandello was born. The location of the stories is Sicily in the 19th century.
